Slayers 2 fishing unlocks at level 45 with a permit from Dock Master Sofen at Mistfall Harbor. The Basic Rod costs 3,500 Wen, the Rare Rod 5 Golden Fish + 10,000 Wen, and the Legendary Rod comes from a three-step night puzzle. Only the Legendary Rod can fish up Slayers 2 gear.

Unlock Slayers 2 fishing
Slayers 2 fishing is locked until you finish a short permit quest:
- Reach level 45.
- At Mistfall Harbor, find Dock Master Sofen near the shrine to start the Fishing Permit quest.
- Pick up the permit from one of the nearby docks and bring it back.
- Buy the Basic Fishing Rod (3,500 Wen) from Fisherman Jeso, standing to Sofen's right. Keep it even after upgrading: the Legendary puzzle needs it.

Drowned Lure
Go to the red bridge and find the water spout. Across the water is a small rocky ledge on the cliff. At night, with the Basic Rod and no bait equipped, land 5 catches. The fifth gives the Drowned Lure: legendary bait, 25% catch chance, never consumed.
Legendary Fisherman Isao
Under the same red bridge after dark, the ghost fisherman asks for 2 Crustadon and 1 Krathulon. Any rod and bait work here, so upgrade now (Fish Head for luck, Golden Tentacle from chests). Finish his dialogue to get the clue.
The final ledge
Follow the river downstream past two main drops to a tree beside a waterfall near Butterfly Estate. Equip the Drowned Lure and fish from the rocky ledge. After the first catch Muzan speaks; keep fishing until the rod drops. It is pure luck.
In Slayers 2 fishing, having the Drowned Lure in your inventory is not enough: it must be equipped as bait for step 3. For step 1, the bait slot must be empty.

Stats are as listed by Item Level Gaming. With the Legendary Rod, Slayers 2 fishing can pull up the Lost Cape, Lost Mask, Lost Outfit and Lost Shotgun. The 95% is the chance to land any catch, not gear specifically, so Slayers 2 fishing for gear is still a grind.
Slayers 2 fishing: Golden Fish for the Rare Rod
The Rare Rod needs 5 Golden Fish. Players report they are rare: one Reddit post from September 29 counts a single Golden Fish from roughly 400 baits. Use your best bait, fish at night with friends, and let them grab the fish you still need.
If your Slayers 2 fishing goal is only the Legendary Rod, you can skip the Rare Rod: step 2 accepts any rod, and step 1 and 3 need the Basic Rod and the Drowned Lure.
